So this week we've got incredible news and leaks for the google pixel 5, we've got new hands-on footage launch confirmation from google and some clarifications on the rumored pixel 5s before we get started though please like the video if you're a fan of the pixels.
let me know in the comments what device you're using right now first news of the day though is confirmation of the google pixel 5 launch with certification appearing and many reports suggesting September we were pretty certain that this was the case but it's now been confirmed by google made by google tweeted get your popcorn ready for hashtag launch night in click below to know when to tune in when you click it reveals a launch date of September the 30th at 11am pacific time which is 2pm eastern time another advert for this also confirms we're going to be seeing the new Chromecast the latest smart speaker and of course the pixel 5 and the pixel 4a 5g next up we've got live photos of the google pixel 5 thanks to jose who provided a couple of different tweets with lots of different photos last week he gave us just two shots one of the front and one of the back of the pixel 5. on the back of the pixel 5 we can see it's exactly what we expected.
we've got the dual camera module along with a physical fingerprint scanner on the front of the pixel 5 though well it looks exactly how we thought it was going to look the device name is listed is the pixel 5s making people think there were multiple versions but to clear this up for you guys there will only be one google pixel 5. google have changed plans and ideas so many times this year and this is simply just old firmware and an early evt pixel 5. this is what we now know to be the google pixel 5 and it's not the 5s there were always two versions coming at the end of the year which were discovered early in code we had the code names bramble and redfin now codename bramble was originally the pixel 5 it then became the pixel 4a xl and then finally they decided this was going to be the pixel 4a 5g redfin was initially the pixel 5s but it was later changed to the pixel 5.
Jose tweeted some more live photos for us a couple of days ago confirming nice even bezels all round as well as 128 gig storage we were expecting this to be the case and it's unlikely that they'll release a 64 gig version while we can't get much else from the photos we do know thanks to recent fcc certification that at least in some regions it will have the sub 6 gigahertz and millimeter wave 5g and it will of course be powered by the snapdragon 765 when it comes to pricing i already shared with you guys last week leaked images from a t on the google pixel 5 so without the at t premium we can expect this to be around 699 but with launch now confirmed as the 30th of september it's not long until we see the google pixel 5 and the pixel 4a 5g.
however you can't wait there is of course the recently released google pixel 4a which launched last month I've already completed a full hands-on review of this smartphone so if you're interested we'll take a look now for my regular viewers you guys have probably already seen this so just skip to the next video but if you are new here then hit subscribe and we're gonna get right into it on the pixel 4a we've got a 5.81 inch full screen display with this punch hole selfie camera in the top left it's a full hd plus oled display with a resolution of 2340x1080 it's got a 24-bit color depth hdr support and a 19 and a half by 9 aspect ratio giving us 443 pixels per inch we've got a nice thin symmetrical bezel all the way around the phone which I really like and I much prefer it over its premium counterpart but it is worth noting that the chin is ever so slightly larger than the forehead but it is barely noticeable the selfie camera in the top left is an 8 megapixel sensor with an aperture of f 2.0 it's a 1.12 micrometer sensor with fixed focus and an 84 degree field of view it takes 1080p photos and allows for 1080p at 30 frames a second if you're taking a video there's no in-display fingerprint scanner on the device and that's because on the back we have the return of the physical fingerprint scanner and for me it's a very welcome return the pixel 4axl has been one of my favorite devices so far but i wasn't a fan of the solid radar or its face unlock only you can see they've stuck with the square camera module on the back which is an odd choice considering.
we only have one camera but it is still a small module and it doesn't protrude much from the case the camera appears to be the same camera as the pixel 4's primary camera and that's a 12.2 megapixel camera with an aperture of f 1.7 and a 77 degree field of view it's got a 1.4 micrometer sensor and it's got a dual pixel phase detect autofocus as well as optical and electronic stabilization it's capable of 4k at 30 frames a second 1080p at 3060 or 120 and 720p at 30 60 or 240 frames as well as this we also have the led flash now on top is something that's going to please a lot of you out there and that's the return of the three and a half mil headphone jack as well as a secondary mic on the right hand side of the device we've got the accent power button as well as a volume rocker on the bottom it's just a usbc port the primary mic and of course the speaker grilles on the left side it's only got the sim card holder and there's no dual sim support here so unfortunately it's just a single nano sim card although it does also support esim now when it comes to the hardware running the google pixel 4a we've got the snapdragon 730g which isn't a flagship chipset but it's still very capable nonetheless even when it comes to the more demanding gaming.
It does fairly well we're going to cover it in more depth shortly we get six gigs of ddr4 ram and that's coupled with 128 gig storage but of course being a pixel it offers unlimited google photos at high picture quality for those that may be worried about space it's all powered by a 3 140 milliamp hour battery with 18 watt fast charge and I found it to easily last a day and it of course comes with android 10. so overall the pixel 4a is a decent choice for those who want a cheap all-round phone but one that also takes decent photos so that's it for the pixel 4a it's a great time to be a pixel fan as whatever your needs there's a pixel to suit but that's all the information I havve got for you guys today and if anything comes to light I'll be sharing it with you guys straight away as always though I'd like to know your thoughts in the comments who out there is waiting for the google pixel 5 and what do you think of the latest leaks. I'll see you guys in the next one. Bye
